Blazing between distinctions of chef, artist, entrepreneur, and performer. David George Husereau is one of the leading pioneers in modern Canadian cooking. His fascination with ingredients and the art of the meal has fueled a career of creativity, critical acclaim, and the introduction of unique ingredients and revolutionary techniques. Our Alberta born chef heard the culinary call at the early age of 13 years old. Since then he has gathered experience and expertise for over 30 years in some of the world’s finest restaurants and hotels. He opened his first restaurant as chef/owner at the age of 22. Since then he has consulted and partnered opening other restaurants all over the world. In 2001 he travelled the globe as a culinary ambassador for the Hawaiian Visitors and Convention Bureau. In 2003 he opened Big Wave Café in Maui Hawaii, 2007 Evil Dave’s Grill. Chef Husereau continues to grow his craft by spending time in the off season in the kitchens of award winning restaurants such as Rouge that won 60th best restaurant in the world. In the past year our chef has made numerous Food Network appearances on shows such as Chopped, Chow Time, and Burger Wars. Husereau’s eclectic, innovative techniques, and culinary accomplishments have offered him a long list of mentions in prestigious publications as “The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Frommers, Fodors, The Sydney Morning Herald, Los Angeles Times, Las Vegas Weekly Seven, and Readers Digest. In 2011 Chef Husereau accepted the position of Corporate Executive Chef/Partner of the Bearhill Brewing Company that has restaurant locations in Western Canada.
