Opened in June 1952, Tekarra Restaurant is celebrating its 62nd anniversary. For the past 20 years Chef David George Husereau has been pushing the envelope of culinary creativity. The menu is marked by notable and whimsical dishes such as “Sous Vide” Venison Loin with Parsnip Puree and Cinnamon/Rosemary Smoke as well as Iron Seared Arctic Char on a Buckwheat Noodle Pancake with Sweet Crab Butter.
Located only 1 mile south of the Jasper town site, Tekarra Restaurant has always been a favourite of Jasper National Park Visitors and locals alike. Included are such guests, Marilyn Monroe, Joe DiMaggio, John Travolta and Lance Armstrong. Tekarra has also proudly hosted numerous team dinners for the Edmonton Oilers. Our peaceful setting amongst the pine trees includes a wonderful outdoor patio where you may glimpse deer and elk while enjoying your meal. The Tekarra Dining Room has a unique, inviting charm all its own with an original wood décor, creating a true Rocky Mountain feel.
Our goal at Tekarra Restaurant is to share with you the wonderful bounty of Alberta’s rich agricultural and farming roots. Fine ingredients deserve fine attention and whether you are dining for a special occasion or just to get away, Tekarra Restaurant can assure you a memorable evening.
