Nestled deep in the scenic Jasper valley just outside of Jasper Alberta Canada, Tekarra Restaurant brings a truly breath taking dining experience. Renowned chef David George Husereau, takes his 25 years of experience, his travel of the world and his love of food to create a truly special and local/global menu. From his “Juniper rubbed “sous vide” bison with mushroom antipasto, housemaid ricotta, and truffle/pine nut oil” to his “Arctic char cold poached in EVOO and chardonnay, white bean puree, and crisp asparagus” there is something for every type of food lover. Originally opened in 1952, Tekarra Lodge became an instant favourite of the day and has hosted the likes of Marilyn Monroe, John Travolta, and recently hosted the inaugural team dinner of the Edmonton Oilers. Chef Husereau took over in 1995 and has put his unique spin on dining while maintaining all the charm and tradition that Tekarra Lodge was built on. Last summer they had the good fortune of serving such high profiles as Canadian icon Charles Bronfman as he toured the country scouting locations for his 80th birthday. They also had the good fortune of serving Lance Armstrong during his fundraising tour through Jasper. He “tweeted” to his 2 million followers from his table that “he was having a great dinner at Tekarra Lodge”. Whether you are dining for a special occasion or just to get away, Tekarra Lodge can assure you a memorable evening.
